After high school I tried to go to college at Campbell University but discovered that college just wasn’t right for me at that time.
I joined the Air Force, and eventually wound up in eastern Virginia, where I finished an associate degree in business administration from Thomas Nelson Community College, and then transferred over to finish my B.S.B.A. in business management from Christopher Newport University. That is where I also met my wife, Julie Caldwell Carson.
While serving in the military I worked as a crew chief on F-16 fighters and then switched over to Security Police. I moved over to a RED HORSE Civil Engineering unit to work as their security supervisor, combat arms trainer, and big block security instructor. I was also trained and worked as an anti-terrorism planner for the unit.
After leaving service and getting married, I spent a couple of years managing two jewelry stores before my wife and I decided to move back to my home in Harnett County. My wife was a school teacher, and after my instructor time in the military I decided to give it a try too. I taught business and marketing at the Jr. high level for nine years while returning to college to get my teacher certifications in business and marketing education at N.C. State, and then returning for my Master’s of Education in School Administration.
A request from my cousin to help start a real estate company got me to realize the possibilities of real estate and I left the school system to start a career in real estate. I quickly realized that my desire to build relationships and help others is a great asset to my real estate career. Being back in the private sector business world brought back the challenges and benefits that enjoyed from the jewelry business, as well as the opportunity to establish close relationships with clients and customers. It did not take me long to realize that this is what I love to do.
I worked with Danielle Nicolayev and Jonathan Owens for several months, and we realized that we all had similar goals and talents that compliment each other, so we decided to work together as a team. What a great move that was, and what a great change it has been. Please allow me and the rest of the team to share our enthusiasm and dedication with you, and work one on one with you to help you to achieve your real estate goals.

Shortly after meeting my husband, also from Salinas, I moved to NC to be with him. He is stationed on Fort Bragg. We first lived in Fayetteville, moved out to Raeford and finally moved to what we call "the good side of post," Harnett County. We wouldn't live anywhere else.
I graduated from Campbell University, after a few transfers one being from Fresno State, with a bachelor degree in Business Administration. I always thought I would be working in the corporate world but another opportunity arose, real estate.
After dealing with our third real estate agent, I was told that I would be a great broker. So I decided to quit my job and take the plunge. This has to be the best job. I get to help people find their dream homes, see the smiles on their faces, and watch everything come together as the families are moving their things into the perfect home.
I feel I am a great advocate for the military families as well. I know how hard it is to have to move to different areas, with and without your spouse. Having trust in someone that you know is going to steer you in the right direction is a must for any military family, especially coming into areas that are unfamiliar.
I work on a team that shows a different side of real estate. We all work together to help our clients. When hiring one of us, you are hiring the entire team! Please allow me and the team to show our enthusiasm and dedication to you and your family in finding your dream home!

I was raised in western NC, just outside of Boone, in a town that values family, community, and strong work ethic. From the time I was 16 until I finished college, I worked nights, weekends, and holidays in the K-Mart Pharmacy in my hometown. During that time I established lasting relationships with multitudes of customers and co-workers.
My Triangle experience began in 2000 when I moved to Buies Creek to attend Campbell University. My wife and I graduated from the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business and we are both proud Campbell Alumni! Our careers took us to Winston-Salem in 2005 and we quickly realized that while we enjoyed Winston and the closeness to our families, the Triangle was where we truly fit and where we most felt at home
Fresh out of college I spent 3 years “improving home improvement” while working for Lowe’s in merchandising and sales. Ready for a new challenge, I joined The Encore Group, which is now Russ Berrie US Gift where I was an account manager for mass and import business. The position was a combination of sales and project management dealing with some of the largest retailers in the country and also dealing with vendors located worldwide. Having worked for major corporations and international conglomerates I found myself wanting to have closer relationships that come from dealing one on one with clients.
In my free time, I enjoy running; from a 5K to a ½ marathon I’m ready to run! I coached Special Olympics for 6 years and I am still actively involved in supporting the organization. I also like to frequent concerts at Walnut Creek and Booth, listen to the comedian of the week at Goodnights, and cheer on the Hurricanes at the RBC. I have found that most anytime you need a night or weekend activity in the Triangle, there are unlimited possibilities. The proximity of the Triangle to the mountains and the beach also make both sides of the state easily accessible for NC Daycations!
I could not be more excited for the opportunity to work with you! If you are new to the triangle or are relocating here, I look forward to meeting you and helping you find your new home. My energy, ideas, and willingness to go above and beyond will make your home buying or selling experience a breeze. Give me a call and let’s get to work!
